Conformance Standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.

Accessibility Features

This website includes the following accessibility features:

• Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard, including a skip-to-content link on every page.
• Dark mode: Automatic detection of your system preference, plus a manual toggle in the header and footer. Dark mode uses carefully chosen colours to reduce visual strain without pure black backgrounds.

• Reduced motion: Animations and transitions are disabled when your system's "reduce motion" preference is enabled.

• Descriptive alt text: All images include meaningful alternative text.
• Responsive design: Content adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
• Focus indicators: Visible focus outlines on all interactive elements for keyboard and assistive technology users.
• Plain language: Content is written in clear, straightforward language, avoiding jargon where possible.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas may have limitations:

• Third-party content: Some embedded content from third-party services (such as Substack and Gumroad) may not fully meet our accessibility standards.
• PDF guides: Downloadable guides may have limited accessibility features. We are working to improve these over time.
